WRITTEN BY LARRY A. WINTERS
A JESSIE BLACK LEGAL THRILLER – BOOK #2
Informant is a book about Jessie Black, a hard working, professional female Prosecutor in Philadelphia. She is trying a case against a gang member, and she feels confident she will win. After she loses her key eye witness, she has to rely on a confidential informant who happens to be in prison. What happens next surprises me and keeps me turning the pages. Highly trained bad guys, hostages, and crooked cops kept giving me twists and turns in the plot that I didn’t see coming.
I like the character of Jessie Black, and I enjoy Larry A. Winters writing style. He holds my attention, and gives enough detail that I can picture everything that is happening. There is plenty of action and characters in the story to keep the plot going at a steady pace.
There is violence, which is necessary for the plot, but isn’t overly evil or gory. There are a few typos, and 67 f-words. There is attempted rape, but it is quickly stopped. There are no other sex scenes.
I try not to give away any spoilers in my reviews – it’s the job of the author to lay the plot, and describe all characters. This is the second Jessie Black book in the series, but it is a standalone book as well. It is not necessary to have read Burnout, Book #1. Although I did enjoy that book too, you can read my review of Burnout here. I purchased this book myself, but I have been asked by Larry A Winters to read and review his books. Affiliate links below.
